We Must Resist

We are the flames, We carry the fire

Read by the author

They’ll try

To cut

The threads

That bind us

To freeze

The love that flows

Between us

So they can

Segregate or

Imprison us

They’ll try

To quell

Our ‘slave’ rebellion

They aim

To kill

Simple compassion

To make

Each heart

Cold tomb

And catacomb

Made ready

To hold

Our murdered

Souls

Now

For the violence and hurt

The perversion of truths

The banning of books

Blood libels and lies

And nature’s

Driving force

(Life’s universal

Truth)

On trial

Diversity

Defamed

A dirty word

And Gaia enwhored

Defiled

_Who will halt _

This Harvest of Hate?

We are not

Self-sovereign states

We must protect each other

As sister and brother

We must resist

The Men

Who will

(For starters)

Wolf down

Our children

We must resist

The Rapist

The Sadist

And Liar

We are the flames

We carry the fire
